Cullman Regional Welcomes General, Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, Venkat Kanthimathinathan, MD, to Medical Group

Cullman, Ala. — Cullman Regional welcomes board-certified General, Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, Venkat Kanthimathinathan, MD, to the Cullman Regional Medical Group. Dr. Venkat completed his medical school at JSS Medical College and completed his Residency in General Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California. He then went on to complete a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Missouri Health Care, Columbia, Missouri.
As Bariatric and General Surgeon, Dr. Venkat utilizes a minimally invasive technique that allows for quicker recovery as compared to traditional surgical techniques. These techniques allow Dr. Venkat to minimize the trauma of the surgery leading to much easier and faster recoveries.
