LOST MILITARY RING FOUND AND RETURNED TO VETERAN

On Thursday, July 8th, Investigator Mike Cole came into possession of a ring that was reportedly found in the Sipsey area of Walker County.
It was a military ring that contained some engraving on the inside. With the assistance of Investigator Brian Keeton, the owner of the ring was located and the ring returned on the morning of July 9th.
After verifying the correct owner it was happily given to him.
It turned out that the owner of the ring is a resident of the Argo community.
On even a brighter note, it turned out to be Mr. John Echols’ 86th Birthday!
Well, needless to say, it made our day, and we were glad to return this precious memory to Mr. Echols.
We’d like to thank him for his service to our country, and wish him a very Happy Birthday!
