CULLMAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE PARTICIPATES IN DRUG TAKE BACK

The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is participating in “National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day” on Saturday, April 24th, from 7:00, am to 1:00 pm at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Training Building, 1920 Beech Ave SE Cullman, AL. Cullman County residents can bring their unused or expired medication to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Training Building, next door to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies will dispose of the medication for them safely. “This is a great program for multiple reasons, but the main reason is to get these unused prescriptions out of the home. If these medicines remain in the home, they are highly susceptible to being misused, stolen, and abused”, said Sheriff Matt Gentry. The aim is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
