GOV KAY IVEY TO PARTIALLY RE-OPEN ALABAMA FOR BUSINESS WITH SAFER-AT-HOME ORDER

Gov. Ivey made an announcement today to partially re-open Alabama and to let the stay-at-home order expire. On April 30th at 5 pm a “safer-at-home” order will go into place. Non-work-related gatherings of 10 or more are prohibited. Retail stores and beaches to reopen with social distancing encouraged. Elective medical procedures can resume.
Salons, barbershops, inside-dining, and entertainment venues to remain closed until new guidelines are drafted.
Churches and houses of worship will not be re-opened. Online services are encouraged.
“The threat of COVID-19 is not over,” Governor Ivey said.
