Jeff “Clem” Clemons took 49% of the votes for Chairman of the Cullman County Commission election and will head into a run-off with current Chairman Kenneth Walker who received 27% of the votes.
Clemons was just a few votes shy of winning outright and avoiding a run-off which is unusual for a race with 4 candidates.
Voters chose to vote “No” on the 1 cent sales tax for Cullman County schools by a margin of 56% of the votes.
These numbers are unofficial tallies from the Cullman County polling website but will likely not change by much when the official results are signed.
