Cullman Regional Offering Free Heart Disease Community Screenings on February 6th, 13th and 27th
Cullman, AL — In recognition of American Heart Month, Cullman Regional is offering FREE Heart Screenings to the community on February 6th, 13th and 27th. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease accounts for nearly 836,546 deaths in the US. That’s about 1 of every 3 deaths in the U.S. Heart disease remains the No. 1 cause of death in the United States. Cullman Regional’s screenings offer opportunities to check your risk for heart disease and more.
Screenings include the following for all participants at no charge:
⦁ Lipid Panel (LDL, HDL, total cholesterol and triglycerides)
⦁ Glucose
⦁ Body Mass Index
⦁ EKG (Electrocardiogram)
⦁ Blood Pressure
⦁ ABI Screening
⦁ Bone Density Screening
⦁ PSA Screening (for qualifying participants)*
“The goal of these screenings is to help community members identify any potential risk factors they may have in order to reduce their risk for heart disease,” said Lindsey Dossey, Vice President of Marketing & Community Outreach. “We want to help our community catch potential risks and get them under control before it becomes an emergency.”
